Radius Dish Workboard

Post by ozziebluesman » Sun Nov 09, 2008 10:19 pm

This weekend I started building two radiused dish workboards. I did the trick with rope measuring out 25 foot and a 15 foot arch. The two arch's where drawn on some 3mm ply and I have made two templates.

Before continuing building the workboards I would like to double check my measurements. The workboard will be 24" square. Dose anyone know the measurement from the top of the dish to the centre for both sizes?

Thanks everyone for your attention.

Alan

Don't know how you were thinking a building them, but there is a tutorial in the tutorial section showing the pretty simple way I make them ( Which was originally from John Calkin from the GAL)

Graham I am using your method to build the dishes from your mandolin book I bought. Soon as I read the chapter I thought, that's a great method and I will use that in the future. Thank you mate!

Sebastiaan, the link workes for me! It should show a table with calculated incriments every 5 mm from the centre to the very edge of the proposed arch.

Cheers

Alan

Sebastiaan, what browser are you using? It doesn't work in Firefox, but I have success with Internet Explorer.
