Here's an update. I'm still waiting for 2 payments to arrive.
I'll contact both directly an see if we can track them down. Both were transfered on the 17th, so I really would have expected them by now.
I just checked the exchange rate, and it's a bit lower than when I did the calculations. I'll keep watching it, and if it jumps up, I'll transfer funds immediately, hoping to catch some savings.

Oh is that what is happening Martin.
Silly cynical old me thought that the worlds biggest con job was presently at play to ensure that wealth continues to flow where it was meant to in the first place before it was so distastefully redirected by a nasty bout of fair trade and competition. In a fit of lunacy, I thought that along with every other nation on earth whose GDP is resource backed, our nations potential to generate wealth, was found to be sufficiently attractive to the main players, to warrant a devaluation of our collective currencies, against what remains the world trading bench mark, the greenback, oh well. Guess it's a dam good thing I am not an economist then.
Cheers
Kim

Mate....youve got to work on the reading material in your dunny. Your dunny library obviously consists of a couple of dog eared dictionaries nicked from the local library.
Heres my current dunny library:
Building Master Guitars by Courtnal
The Art of Violin Building by Courtnal et al
A Cavalcade of New Zealand Locomotives
Current edition of The Financial Review
The latest edition of American Luthier
The Field Guide to The Birds of Australia
Yours literarily

Must agree Martin,
It is tradition that the cutting of a fine cigar should be a time of deep thought and careful contemplation. This sets ones mind up just perfectly to be as receptive as a sponge to water of even the most challenging and complicated readings such as people magazine, or the trading post.
Cheers

Friday morning and still a no show for Sebastian and AP.
I emailed both of you last night with the bank details again, so you can check over your transaction to see it everything is correct.
As both of you stated in your emails to me that the transfer took place on the 17th I suspect that something is amiss.

... as Mr Walker would say
I will have to do the transfer again from work Allen( within the hour ), failing that I'll go round to Westpac with a blunt musical instrument and have a 'word'
I'm very sorry for any delay.
Cheers, AP

That's alright guys. As I told Sebastian and AP in my emails,, I can cover the difference until it shows up.
I was getting concerned as these fellows were the first to say that they had transfered funds, yet everyone else's had already shown up. Now I'll just watch the exchange rate. It's .638 right now. Hoping it bounces back over the weekend.
If everyone in the group agrees, I'll wait until Monday at the latest, (Sunday in the USA), then transfer the funds. I'm hoping that the exchange rate is at least on par with what you've paid already, though a few cents on the dollar aren't going to make that much of a difference to most of us.
I don't want this to drag on any longer than the rest of you, as I'm chomping at the bit to get an ebony fret board for the current build.

A couple of alternatives are
Queensland Ironwood (Acacia Excelsa)

and
Brigalow (Acacia harpophylla)

Queensland Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon)would also be suitable.
Ironwood is sensational fingerboard material - half as dense again as Ebony.
These come from Queensland and have costed about $12 a blank in the past. I'll get in touch with Dan and see what he's got.
