I see we are on the same schedule Kim. Mine is half way done, maybe more than halfway done. Now if I could have a weekend that doesn't involve overtime or excessive heat and a hand basket I'd be a happier camper. I'll post pictures when I get it together.

No worries Martin.

I'm good too Lillian. Built without one before wanting a screw, so I'll build another hoping to get a screw. I'm off to the shed now dreaming about getting a couple of screws.....Ok I'll ban myself

Im currently rig bound 450km NW of Broome and after this job Im off to New Zealand for another job. Hopefully the screws will arrive in between the two jobs so theyll get sent out in good time. Theres a slight chance that there may be a bit of a wait (a few weeks) if the screws arrive after I leave for New Zealand. Ill try and get my wife to take care of mailing out the screws but no promises.

Okay it sounds like the press screws have arrived. Unfortunately Im still rig-bound and won't be getting back to Adelaide until at least end of next week.

Once home I'll get the screws posted out and then I'll PM each of you with moneys owing.

Things are really dragging out here on the rig..in fact now even our anchors are starting to drag. Took us 9 days to get all the anchors out and now just as we get our BOP landed out one of our primaries has come loose.

Anyway wont be getting back to Adelaide till end of the week and wont be getting the screws out till week after. Will keep you posted.

Okay the screws will be in the post today. Sorry for the delay.. a combination of post hitch blob out blues and sheer slackness.

Fortunately the slackness is going to work for you guys...I cant be bothered working out all the extras on top of the base cost of the items plus shipping from the US so you'll end up paying for the latter only.

YIPPEE !!!!!!!!

I just received my veneer press screw in the mail.
(I lead a sheltered life and little things like this really excite me)

A big thankyou goes out to Lillian and Martin for going to the trouble and rooting around in organising the group buy and the shipping at each end.

Lillian did the Lions share of the work on this one. I just stuck 'em into an Aussie Post bubble bag and shoved 'em in the nearest post box.

Martin,

Please don't play your part down, you were very kind to take this on for us and most generous to absorb some of the cost out of your own pocket, we all owe you a couple of beers, thanks mate 8)

As for Lillian, well she is just a gem and it's a pity the world does not have more of her ilk. I just wish we seen more of her here, Lillian is without doubt one of my favorite forum people and I miss her input.

Yooooo Whoooo! Are you there Lillian? :D

Cheers

Martin, listen to what Kim said. You did the bulk of this. The hard part for me was explaining to Fran why I just got another "toy" box in the mail when I said I wasn't going to be buying any more tools until I had my first one completed. As soon as I mentioned you blokes and shipping issues all was well. Jeeze, I spent all of five minutes ordering them and then maybe 10 minutes standing in line shipping them. I had the box on hand already, so... no work and besides, I was happy to help.

Just for the record, Martin's math sucks big time. You all (y'all for you southern types) owe him a pint or three for the extra he sent along to cover costs.

Kim, we have been packing and working on the house. The doc said move or find another job, no really I'm serious this time. So... we are getting the house ready to sell and making plans to move. Since I haven't been as diligent on the maintenance as I should have been, I'm busy fixing things I should have taken care of already as well as all the other stuff one does to make their place attractive to someone with a fist full of dollars. I still check the forums out daily though. Since I've packed up the shop, it was in a bedroom that needs to look like a bedroom again, I can only dream of actually working on my first one. But that's okay, once this is all said and done, I will have a proper shop and have much more time for the shop, so I will be bugging everyone for guidance on how to get out of the corner I just got myself into because I didn't slow down long enough to think things through. I must admit that I was bad and was working on the bending form instead of hanging the gutters back up this weekend. But all my hand tools are pack, so there isn't much else I can do really.
And just because things aren't hectic enough, we are taking off next week to get married in California. Stress, its how you know you are still alive, isn't it?

Thank you gentlemen. I will pass along your well wishes.

Bob, thankfully there is a three hour difference between MI and CA, because we are getting married at nine am Friday morning, noon for you. Then heading back home. I have a date to replace the gutters on the back of the garage and she has to work. So much for a honeymoon. Ah, the joys of being a responsible adult.
