Guitar transportation to Western Australia Help

I`ve just completed building a guitar for my Brother in Esperance W.A. and need to get it delivered.
I`ve been Quoted prices up to $680 for delivery. I could fly return to Perth and deliver it myself for that price.
I would appreciate any suggestions for best courier company or any other ideas of transport.

TNT from perth to QLD is $39-49 for us, insured to $1500.

Thats on an account, with 250 items minimum per year. But still...
