introduction
I have been on the forum for a while now and it is high time I introduced myself. My name is Phil Pearson, I live near Seattle Washington and my main job is delivereing the mail. About 25 years ago I decided I needed to build a guitar. That guitar landed me a part time job as a a repair person for a local music store doing on average about one repair a week. A few years back my son's best friend Matt came to me for advice on getting a better ukulele. I decided that we could build a much better uke for the money he had than he could buy and I felt that I needed to build one myself before I advised him on his and so the first two ukes were born. Shortly after the uke was built his family moved to Ethiopia. This summer my son decided it was time for him to build his own uke. The first two ukes were curly Mango, for my son Andrew's we went with curly blackwood. He left to begin college in Texas before the finish was done and so today I just mailed the completed uke to him. Turns out Matt is going to the same school so I asked Andrew to get together with Matt and make a u-tube video of the two ukes. I will post a link when they get it done. Meanwhile I make more ukes. I love the forum, there is a lot of awesome skill and talent displayed here and a nice friendly spirit.
