Christmas brings out the scum.

Post by simso » Sun Dec 18, 2011 8:36 pm

Sorry about the bold opening line..

Tis the season to be jolly, unless your an opportunistic thieving piece of you know what..........

Sorry, someone at 1.15am this morning tried to force there way into our shop and our neighbours premises as well, they brought shovels and tried to smash in the front windows for access. Cops arrived at 2am well after the event. Cameras show the scum bags......

Bummer......

So I take it the didn't actually get in after all their efforts? Hopefully the camera footage will help nail someone.

Might be time to trade in that dog of yours for something bigger and meaner.

Sorry to hear that Steve, hope they catch the slack arse bastards. Glad they got a good image of them though & it wouldn't surprise me if one if not all, are not already known to the boys in blue.

The scumbags will probably give some hard luck story about how their parents kicked 'em out of home coz they wouldn't clean their room and that they couldn't keep a job coz the employers were sick to death of them turning up late for work stoned off their heads or just not at all. Yep i reckon the community in general should take pity on these dirty arse wipes coz they probably haven't had a fair go and you people with a house, a shop, a factory have got it all, you've had all the breaks and haven't had to apply yourselves to get anywhere, so you owe the average low breed scum bag a fair go!!! have a heart will ya? :pissed :pissed :pissed
Cheers,,

Sorry about late reply, we do so much for the local community, we also do all the salvation army's musical instruments for free, we help out with local schools and so forth and yet some shit's will still try to take more from you..

My stuff, Im not overly stressed if I loose, dont get me wrong I wont be happy and financially it will hurt, but my customers products are a whole different story..

Next door, one of the three units is a security company, that did not deter them for a second, faces half covered, bold as hell.

Now getting security shutters fitted to the building.

Kim and I are available for sentry duty at a reasonable rate. One sight of Kim's ugly face looming out of the dark would be enough to strike fear into even the most hardened of criminals.

God damn!! My last factory was opposite the local bikie gang. They really looked after people in the area, and only twice we had attempted break ins within 100m over five years. First lot were caught, and simply asked "do we deal with you guys, or shall we hold you for the police?" They chose the police option... Second attempt was also caught, and he didnt get that option. Won't say what they did (scarey scarey shit!), but let's say the guy was too frightened to come back for his car for a couple weeks :) In fact, I don't even know if he did come back, or if his car just 'disappeared' one night! Some things you just don't want to know about...

Not only were the bikies looking after the place, but an engineer in the front unit (I was up the back) made remote controlled targetting devices for the US military. That place was secured like fort knox, and you had to get past that, to get to me. A cliff at the back of the units, and massive tilt wall factories either side = nice and cosy.

My current place is an ex mining explosives storage facility (and still listed as that). Part of the deal is it must be ASIO approved due to the terrorist threat, and the alarm is hooked into the federal police branch. The one time I accidently set off the alarm and didnt realise, we had three cop cars here with sirens blazing within 3 minutes. It was amazing. Higher fences (electric) and a big bulky gate out the front give that real safe 'able to sleep at night' feeling.

But ultimately, since moving, I no longer publish my address. No appointment = no visit. No signs out the front. Im even removing the signage from the car. Nothing.

Ive heard from one local luthier, that he has had numerous people run off without paying for high $$$ repairs. Im not sure if that says more about his style of customer service, or just plain deadbeat clients... no amount of security can stop that. Maybe a baseball bat might :P

A good dog helps...one that's really big but does not bark or growl and is trained to wag his stumpy fat tail fast and enthusiastic when people come in, but then go completely berserk tearing off testicles when they want to leave him again...It's a bit of an impasse having to clean up the blood and excreta in the mornings I suppose, but after the police have been and removed the main piece of debris, the rest just seems to hose off, and the lawns either side of the entry are doing fabulously...The security video makes for fun Friday arvo drinky poos entertainment also. We have an old shop manikin dressed in dark clothes. It's face is part covered and it wears an old hoody...when Bastard has been a very good boy, he is treated to a feed of fresh raw liver. We have a little game we play..I hide the liver in the manikins crutch and then Bastard tries to get it all out in one go.....he's so clever and cute...look at im he's smiling for you... :D

Like the 2.8 seconds, thats nice.

Perry I heard youve moved down south, I wont say the suburb on the forum here, thats a bit of a move from your old shop.

What gets me, is what are they going to get there hands on, broken guitars, busted musical instruments, if they steal them, odds are, at some time there going to end up back in my hands. So there going to get caught.

The repaired instruments are delivered daily, so theres only ever busted up stuff sitting on the shelves..

Menatlity of todays society, whats in it for me without me doing anything.

Got a quote today for security shutters 9k.

Make them! We all know you have the tools to do it ;)

Mostly unfinished, or busted instruments here too. But, Ive had one $50k+ guitar come in, that really got me all nervous, especially when a client who was there when it was being booked in, facebooked about it. SHIT SHIT SHIT. So, I took it home each night, just to be safe. But then while Im driving, a car next to me got TOTALLED. Ok, maybe carrying it in the car wasn't safe either...

... and then there was the time Randy's stuff was here... many sleepless stressed out nights...

I suggest you give those shutters a good test.........hire a large semi and get Kim to drive it straight into the door at 80km/hr.
