Ukulele Extreme Build With Pete Howlett

Post by Mark G » Sun Aug 21, 2011 5:49 am

Hello everybody,
This is my first post so hopefully everything will work out.

I recently completed a ukulele extreme build weekend with Pete Howlett in Wales. I have made several guitars in the past and learnt mostly from books so the opportunity to work with a professional and master craftsman was too good to pass up. I love the ukulele and have been keen to give them a go and now I am armed with some of Pete's knowledge perhaps my ukes will benefit. A friend told me that if there's no photos it didn't happen so here are some shots of the 2 days.

It is really astounding how quickly it came together, not to mention how beautiful it sounds.

There you go. If anyone has any questions or comments I'd be happy to share more of the experience.
Cheers,
Mark
