One can get these tiny toys for about $5 (shipping from Hongkong included) if ordering via eBay. But as I didn't want to wait a month I ordered it from a Swiss online auction portal so I only had to wait 36 hours (but I had to pay about $10).
Taking pictures from what one can see with this tiny hand lens would be a little difficult, so I also ordered a more sophisticated device (but still a toy) which arrived a day later:
It came with two eye-pieces (10x and 16x) and a monitor which allows to take pictures and do some filming too.
Using the microscope with the eye-piece works well with the 4x and 10x lens but all adjustments suck when using the 40x lens. Electronic picture quality (stills and movies) is pretty poor but hey, it didn't cost a fortune. And it works somehow. But actually the currency detecting dwarf is much more user friendly.
