Very nice guitar you've got there Rod, and some woods I've never heard of. I think you left some out though - binding?, neck woods? etc. Always curious

Thank you for the kind remarks......I am sure I don't deserve them this early in my guitar building career!!(but I don't mind anyway )
Timbers are Tarzali silkwood (Cryptocarya oblata)..grows from Cooktown to the Southern side of the Atherton tablelands in rainforest.....similar to Qld maple,but I think the grain is much nicer!!!...is a little oily to work with.
Johnstone River Hardwood (Backhousia bancroftii)......grows in the Cooktown to Innisfail area in rainforest.......not as hard as ebony, but it is quite hard and I love the colour and stripy grain.
The back strip and end flash are Red cedar which I'm sure you all know the story of.
Neck is glued up Qld maple, and the bindings are White Beech.
The head plate is a Coolibah burl.
As for the inside of the sound-hole, all the bracing is Sitka spruce...my daughter made up the decal that you can see inside, and the vinyl sticker on the headstock.
Bob, I am a lot happier with the way this one sounds, but will be taking the advice you have all given me on the bracing withe the next one.....which I am about to start....( going foreign on this one with Indian Rosewood.)
