Adam Spencer for those of you who don't know him, is an Australian TV science show presenter. While recently informing his audience about light he stated that it takes 8 minutes for a light photon to travel from the sun to the earth but it takes thousands of years for that same photon to travel through the core of the sun. To explain the reason why in layman's terms he used the analogy that the sun is like Paris Hilton, very hot but incredibly dense.
