Hi All,
I'm interested in testing out some different neck profiles to find one that is most comfortable for my carpal tunnel.
I have an idea of making up some various false neck profiles out of something like balsa that I can stick to the back of my Mini Maton neck and try out.
I think most acoustics I have had are 'c' shape.
I have fairly short stumpy fingers, with a rather large hand. What profiles would you guys recommend?
Also, If I was to stick a false profile onto my existing neck, what would you recommend not to ruin the finish?
Guitar Neck Profiles
Re: Guitar Neck Profiles
I'm not sure how you'd plan on carving another profile and sticking it onto an existing neck. Small differences are going to make a big difference.
How about running strips of masking tape down the length of the neck to build it up into a different profile. Pretty easy and cheap to do.
