It wouldnt be hard to modify this method to allow for the slight angle that fan braces usually intersect the bridge patch. Im incredibly anal and use a bevel measurement taken off the brace line on the soundboard to get the notch perfect. It wouldnt be hard to transfer this bevel measurement to the piece of hardboard used as a guide on the bandsaw.

Good KISS style video as usual....

Another way to get this angle is to just make the cut on the small side (narrower than the patch) and then file the angle you need into the braces that need that angle.
