12 string update pics
Simple and elegant Martin. You said earlier that it has a home already. Has the new owner seen the final product yet?
What about playability. It's been ages since I tried to play a 12 string, That one had action so high that it was almost impossible to fret anything at all. Does an extra course of strings necessarily make it more difficult to play, or is it all in the setup?

Congratulations Martin , That is one great looking 12 string .The Paua rosette and your binding around the neck and headstock give it real class .As Dave said , It's been an interesting journey .
I'm betting it's going to be a very difficult one to part with . Playing these 12's is quite addictive don't you think ?
A fantastic effort Martin
Cheers mate

Thanks for the accolades guys. It has been a challenge getting this guitar finished and there are lots of things Ill do differently next time...list as follows:
1. listen to advice from those who know more than me is top of the list.
2. headstock scarf joint was in wrong position and is visible at back of headstock.
3. fretboard should have been laid out AFTER working out string spacing etc. I was lucky and it isnt too bad but could be better.
4. Intonation and saddle postioning was a learning experience. Should have checked the string guages before starting the guitar and noticed the .008" G octave string. Should have also been aware of influence of string height on intonation. Some luthiers actually make the G octave string a bit higher on the saddle to add a bit less compensation.
5. French polishing isnt still 100%.
6. Binding on headstock could have been done a bit better..especially the mitre joins.
Cheers Martin
