Just finished a dready using this plan. I expect the guitar to sound damn good! Lots of work when bracing the top as the bridge patch, finger and tone braces are all tucked. I also used a bolt on neck with this plan as well! Good luck with your build.

Cheers

Thanks for the reassurance, I decided I might get some of the timber from StewMac, most of it will be the same though except I'll get Indian Rosewood back and sides; with the sides pre-bent to save me a massive amount of time bending and having to get the tools to bend the wood.

and maybe this 14 1/4" truss rod: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Truss_rods/ ... t_Rod.html

Not see that one in person so can't comment. If you want something free check out Chritophe's plans here. He's linked through our plans section on the web site. The 000 model is pretty standard, and a much better guitar in my opinion than a Dread.

You can download the dxf or pdf file and have them printed out full size at a copy place that has an appropriate size printer. My local one only cost $5 for a plan like that if I take it in on a usb stick.

Hi Bao/archaic, if your going to get pre bent sides like you mentioned in your last post make up a simple rig as soon as they arrive so that they hold their shape and dont "unwind" any more than they may have already. All you will need is a piece of MDF and some wooden dowel to make up a fixture to be able to hold the sides in the shape that they will need to be in the instrument.

I hope you have a successful build but be careful its addictive!

Haha thanks :) I'll try not too get too addicted, I might just use the template i had for the sides to help keep the shape along with some other wood.

If you haven't already placed your orders you might like to check out

could pick up all you need locally, plus get advice from the helpful staff.
