Bass uke bridge intonation

Post by mac007 » Fri Jun 27, 2025 2:40 pm

Hi all,
I have guy in my group building a bass ukulele and he is struggling with how to angle the saddle to compensate/correct intonation
Anyone had experience in this?

Depends on strings. I only built a few using the thick rubbery polyurethane ones and they used 1/4" compensation. I used a 4mm wide saddle and used it's width for moving from trebel to bass.
