Hi, I thought I would show how I repurposed some tool parts, giving them a new lease on life.
Some materials are often too small to go through my thickness sander, so one of these will always do the job. Mainly binding but other uses when undertaking varied repair jobs.
The tool that looks like the remains of a spokeshave, is the remains of a spokeshave. I had had it since I was an apprentice, but I knocked it off the bench and one handle broke off. Too good to throw away.
The second uses the left-over parts from a Makita trimmer and does the same job, thicknessing plastic or timber.
The third is another thicknesser using the drill press and the Dremel binding channel attachment.
Why do I need all three? I don’t, but they all have their uses at times.
Cheers Taff
