The Luthier Forum Admin who hasnt built a Guitar for 12 months.

Post by kiwigeo » Fri Oct 30, 2020 9:43 am

You may have noticed a lack of post from me documenting any builds. Ive been busy building a new house since the start of the year and the workshop had to be packed up so it could be used as a temporary bedroom. The new house is now finished and Im busy clearing out the workshop in preparation for getting it back into operation. I'm taking the opportunity to do some mods to the layout of the shop as well as the garage to which it is attached.

Great to see Martin that you have completed the house build and now enjoy the final product. Also looking forward to seeing your workshop in action with a new guitar build.

I have only built one guitar earlier in the year and then have spent the time renovating all of the house, plus now going through the steps to put my mother in Aged Care. I also hope to be back building guitars in 2021.

Look forward to seeing some new builds Martin.
It has been a long time out of the workshop.
All good now

Martin, how are to vents at the bottom of the walls connected to the inside of the building, ie, via dust extraction then dehhumidifier? cheers! Ross

The vents are ventilating the area under the suspended concrete slab. There are also three fans that run for a few hours each day to help move the air around. The rear portion of the building has slab on ground floor.
