Interruption coming up

Hi Everyone

There may be interruptions over the next few days as I'm swapping the internet service to a business plan.

This will mean getting a new IP address which I will have to update in DNS. (Domain Name System)

It can take up to 48 hours for the new DNS entry to propagate around the planet so if you can't get in over the weekend this is why.

Bob hasn't quite told the complete story. Apart from switching to a business plan we're also firing up the second hand Cray we got off NASA for a good price.

Looks like it'll happen later this week.

Got a text saying that an inspection would occur on the 9th to see if the premises is suitable for a cable connection. WTF. I've had an existing cable connection here for 15 years. :lol:

I think tomorrow may be the day we swap over to the new plan so the forum may become unavailable for a short period.

Everything's been rolled over. Speed test indicates I'm now getting 100MB up speed which is about twice as fast as it was before so I'd be interested if anyone see's an improvement in responsiveness of the forum.
