Seems to have a lot of leg room, but the facilities appear to be totally lacking.

You would want to be pack'in a shitload of beanz if you wanted to make it to Perth.

CNN did a piece on this guy this evening.

He launches by jumping out of a plane (in flight...)

and then getting into a steep glide at which point he fires the engines. His flight time (powered) is about 5 minutes according to CNN.

Then when the engines die he unleashes a parachute and flies the rest of the way to the ground.

It's pretty amazing to see and he can cruise at 180 mph.

A couple of cans of beans are handy for the prolonged wait at the baggage conveyer at Perth Airport.
