If it does indeed work then I'm sure some big power corporation has already bought the rights to the technology from them and buried it deep within their vaults, never to be seen or heard of again.

From reading their material it is apparent that they have no understanding of the differences between Force, work, power and energy (or they are deliberately confusing it)

So when the give the meaningless statement of their Generator providing X kilowatts per day it sounds impressive but tells you nothing about the energy output.
Energy is commonly measured in Kilowatt hours (not kilowatts per hour or per day)

So it was a scam, and the most common excuse for these sorts of scams not proceeding is the suggestion that they were suppressed by the big energy companies

Seems the story now is that they have patents in 60 countries, sounds expensive.

After looking at those links of yours Derick I found there were a few guys doing that one. One of them didn't use the lighter he coiled the lead for the power board and placed a crystal on the coil then directed the beam of one of those little laser light things through the crystal and ran his vacuum cleaner off it. Looks like these guys have already put the Lutec 1000 out of business.
