Super thin bass pickups for a new project...
Hi all, with all the clever folks on this forum, I thought it might be the right place to ask about this.
Basically, I'm looking for some super thing pickups like these...

Only of course I want it for a 6 string (fretless) don't I. I'd talk to Lace only they're only available for 5 strings. Any thoughts about who to talk to or possible issues with something this thin.
My reason for wanting something so thin is a structural thing. Basically, the thinner I can get the pickup, the less timber I need to mess around with and the more structural the neck/joint will be.

Hi Pete, the link didn't work for me. Are you referring to Lace "alumitones"? If so I don't know if anyone else makes them, seems they are a Lace idea and good on em for going out on a limb its hard to sell a knew idea into the market at times(I have never heard them but Lace do know a bit about pickups).

Wow I've seen credit cards thicker, wouldn't be to many turns of 24AWG on those poor under nourished little things

Brett Kingman auditioning Brealey's 'Brett Kingman signature' strat set with a bit of compression and reverb added for good measure.
