Cigarbox Tables

I'm calling these cigarbox tables. The 1st tall, skinny one came about as a way to keep my coffee completely isolated from the keyboard. The others just followed. The base design is after Geo. Nakashima, from thejoint up is me. The thicknesses are 12mm, 9mm and 8mm. I'll make a few more to keep the neighbours sweet with the noise. The top/rails are held in place with rub blocks. " Rodent Claw " figure on the tall tables.

Gotta luv the functionality of the coffee cup isolater Bill and the light weight practical design, but the masterpiece of it all must surely be the diplomacy of buying off the neighbors to reduce their sensitivity to noise...cleva bugga.

Thanks fellas, early on the council told me to keep the neighbours sweet and I would never hear from them. It's worked for 20 years.

Made me think of Possum tooth carving that was pointed out to me once while looking at a friends collection of Aboriginal spears and shields.

When I saw it I imagined that sitting around a campfire carving with possum tooth involved getting possum teeth and making a tool by attaching the teeth to an end of a stick somehow.
Then one day while camping I found a possum skull,the two front teeth still fixed hard in place and the rest of the skull fitted the hand perfectly for use as a tool. I was possum tooth carving with the first stick I picked up. Wo!!

I got to find some more of those to add to the tool collection, that does not involve eating possum though

These tables look great, sure. I really like the design (not only the base).

If I was your neighbour I would ask you to make more often noise.

How about you keep the skull and give the rest to ur neighbors eat Rob? I reckon for a least a month they'll be too busy chew'in to pay any attention to any noise ur making.

What do i do ? take them a headless one with the fur on , or skin it for them ?
Its supposed to taste like chicken I think ?

That depends Rob,

If you like them you should probably gut and skin it for them.

If on the other hand you and yours are not overly happy with them as niegbours, I suggest you leave the gutz in and fur on mate. Also be sure make delivery in an empty VB carton and yourself unshaven (5 days minimum please), wearing only ur ugg boots and a pair of lime green lurex undies, and perhaps offering the suggestion they eat the meat, tan the skin for their bedroom tribal fetishes, and they should use the bone for body piercing adornments for the whole family with further advice that the ear bones make fantastic ticklers and you and the missus would have gone your separate ways years ago if it were not for their potent viagra like qualities.

My guess is they will move....probably the next day....mine did.
