Some miserable bastard is trying to sell MY GUITAR in SPAIN!!!

I am very very certain that this guitar is currently living in my house in the Northern Rivers. I've reported the listing to eBay, but they say do not follow up or expect any response...what a crock of shit....

That is MY guitar on MY deck, and it is still here.......

Probably wont work Craig. As I recall its an option for the seller whether or not they wish to display questions from prospective buyers their listing.

Oh, now it has an Ibanez logo on its headstock an it is no longer displayed on Nick's deck. I think I don't want that guitar.

Sent the guy a message, and he said he used the photos of mine from the internet, because they were nice pictures. And, he has the same model. I don't know what sellers do that for. All that would happen if I bought the guitar and it wasn't the one in the photos of the listing is, I'd want my money back, and that's start a shit fight....He did change them to some of his actual guitar.

And putting up the questions and answers is up to the seller...so that wouldn't work.

Markus, mine is an Ibanez, too. It's not a handmade guitar, but it's every bit as good as a Gibson as far as I'm concerned. For mass market guitars, high end Ibanez are pretty good bang for the buck.

I'm certainly not suggesting it's as good as Rocket's archies, but the electronics, in particular, are really quite good, and as far as fit and finish, the QC on high end Ibanez guitars is really good.

However, I've been mulling things over, and I have decided to build myself a shed to work in, so likely this and several other guitars from my collection will be going up for sale to pay for the materials for that project... Then, i can just build replacements.

It seems that this "hobby" I've picked up will be sticking around, so I'd like a nice little shop

Good to see Nick , and it looks like we have a workshop build to look forward to. How big can you go ?

I went to visit a friend and saw a small workshop he had set up in one of those approximately 3M x 3M sheds that you take home and put up yourself, he had it fitted out nicely and had a wooden floor in it. It was a smart looking small workspace for his woodwork projects.
The bigger the better though.

Ha! The wife actually suggested it, as a project for when our shop sold, but that deal fell over

Anyway, I've got a spot lined up, where the chickens live. They are moving to a friend's place soon

I've sketched out an L-shape, 2.4m wide x 5m long in the main, with a section 2.4m x 2-2.4m coming off the end, which I will make into a climate controlled room. It all fits, while leaving clearance at the boundaries, and will be raised off the ground due to us being on the reclaimed river bed and subject to the 20-40 yr floods. Raising it will also allow for insulating the floor in the controlled area, along with the walls and ceilings. I was a builder in the US for many years, and know exactly how to insulate for maximum efficiency. That room will be dry and temperature controlled for sure.

My wife also wants a little covered deck off the front, which on nice days can be used for BEER DRINKING, er, I mean, messy building things....Good on her

Putting up a bunch of guitars on eBay later today, and will know in 10 days whether or not enough sell to finance the project

OK, I had not realized this. We might call him insolent, innocent, stupid or a fraudster, but in any case it might be good to know that this guy is not the only one who serves himself freely from whatever he finds "on Internet", and all we can do is what you have done, laugh and then move on. No one will be able to stop that pest; even if eBay would collaborate, such cases will (and actually do) occur on other online selling channels.

I actually got caught up in a fraudulent eBay auction down here several years ago. I thought I bought a nice vintage Greco Strat for a good price. Paid by Paypal, and then never heard anything else. I notified eBay and Paypal and eventually got my money back.....takes them a fair while longer to return it than to take it.....and that's really the only time I've been a supporter of Paypal.....

A little while later, I was looking on another site down here Oztion, and saw the exact listing there. I contacted the seller for that auction, and he said he had never listed it on eBay.

Clearly, the fraudster copied the whole thing, pix and text and all and placed it onto eBay

I didn't buy the guitar....call it lack of faith

Hope to be able to start the shed in a fortnight or so
