I'm in a bit of a quandarry. I have a double garage (with one car in it), but I'm finding it very hard to fit everything in in such a way that I can use the bench regularly and get to things. My wife seems to have given up on the idea that the stationwagon will go in, but even still, with me chucking everything I can out, I'm still feeling cluttered and disorganized.
What do you guys do to make the most of a small amount of space?

Re: How to use your workshop space effectively?
Ive gone from using half of a 300m2 factory, to a two car garage. That was hard...
Two 1800 x 1200 work benches, one 1500 x 1100 cnc, an L shaped 3m x 2.4 bench in the corner, and heaps of bookshelves, tool chests on rollers (as is the CNC), racks and efficiently placing machinery (band saw, surface planer, thicknesser, compressor and dust extraction all seem to be made to fit 'into' each other) got me in there. Its a bit of a squeeze, but not as much as some Ive seen.

I bought a new house with a F#*king big shed.
Unfortunately it's spilled over to the double garage that doesn't hold anything else but my wood stash and motorcycle.

Hi Pete,
I think I have managed to fit everything in and still kept it Tidy and Safe, I have some Pics in viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3768 scroll down to nearly the Bottom of the Page , if you see Leyton Hewitt you have gone to far , It shows my Thicknesser and Drum sander on slide out rails as well as some other space saving Ideas , I have an Island Bench with a Drill press, Belt/disc sander and Spindal sander at one end , two vices, drum sander and the thicknesser at the other , and the dust extraction system underneath my table saw and Router table wheel away under the bench that runs oround two complete walls , it also houses the compressor , any way have a look at the Pics .
Cheers,
