Here are some pictures of the tool sale, members night ,
a good night spent chatting about tools ,boats ,a stack of 250 x 250 x 1.8 Brazilian Rosewood bought in the 1920s, and pre ww2 Japanese plane blades with strange stamps in them , some were of the Crane [ bird ] some with writing that was read from right to left and some ,I was told had the stamp of 2 people , doing it. yes , it ,
we had a laugh about that.
cheers Rob

Sorry people, I have to quit this forum, you make me suffer way too much!
Thanks for the pictures Rob. I didn't know that Australian coins are so big!
Maybe my favorite one of the pictures above:
Cheers,

But I'll leave it to Martin who was looking for something like this for turning his lute pegs. (Hurry up Martin!)auscab wrote:

To be stupid is like to be dead. Oneself will not be aware of it.
It's only the others who suffer.

Glad to hear you all like the pictures
Yeah
, Rod, lots of people over 50 ,me to almost . The htpaa is run by retired gents mainly, The Sunday sale will see a lot more younger people, I haven't been to a Sunday sale for a few years, but last time I went ,I would be standing behind two people at the tables waiting to pick up a tool. frustrating.
The lathe was a little gem , no good for pegs though I think Martin, the travel in and out accross the bed was fine ,but left to right was to fine and slow, great for little discs like watch or clock parts I suppose.

Yeah
