Seems to be pretty standard stuff up here, it is only in the last few years that they dropped the speed limit on the Stewart highway from a open speed limit down to 130kms and if you have seen the Stewart highway then you will know it ain't much more than your average suburban street plonked in the middle of the continent. It is surprising how deep those Toyotas can cross a creek if you know what you are doing though.

Must have thought they if they hit the crossing fast enough they could stay on the plane right across the River . I was On a tour up to cape tribulation , the tour guide said to stay away from the Ferry crossing , because it was slippery and the Crocks liked to wait for tourist to slip in and then eat them , Guess what , the French and Germans on the trip went and stood on the Slippery ramp ( just after a very successful crock spotting cruise on the same river) to see if they could spot the waiting crocks , and the Yank's Filmed hoping to video one of them being eaten .

I can just imagine the cops taking the phone call "Hey Bill another mob of tourists stuck in the creek again, whadayareckon", "Ahhh bugger em Dave, crocs need to eat every now and then".
