Tour de France

Post by kiwigeo » Sun Jul 05, 2009 6:07 pm

Armstrong is back in the Tour de France. He didnt win the fist stage time trial in Monaco but watching his ride over first half of the race Id say hes still a force to be reckoned with. Should be an interesting race. Will be watching Cadel Evans as well although his team isnt the best....unfortunately in the Tour its more about team work than individual ability.

Always feel a little sorry for the team riders, I know they're well paid but there sole job is to ride their guts out then let the top guy come through & take the win & glory.I was/am always into individual sports for some reason :)
Don't know how he'll go this time but Armstrong always came through on the hill climb stages, the guy was (is?) a machine.

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

Cadel Evans came in 5th in the time trial.....ahead of Armstrong. Not a bad ride.
