Busy Weekend

Post by Taffy Evans » Sun Nov 09, 2008 9:51 am

Big Weekend
How many Cellos’ can you get into a Toyota Camry S/Wagon????

Just when I thought I was going to get stuck into some guitar building my plans got changed big time. On my regular trip to Townsville, 130klm away, to pick up some instruments for repair I was amazed when one of my customers rocked up with his cello’s for repair. I already had 6 guitars to bring back and he proceeded to hand over eleven, that’s 11 Cello’s, a bow and a violin all for repair. Well after we had packed and unpacked the car a few times all the instruments and my wife’s Christmas purchases were finally stashed. With a storm brewing and Cellos’ all over the car park it was a race against time, we won and the rain cooled things down wonderfully. I can see some late nights coming up.

well done..good packing.

With 2 kids and a pram I can bearly fit the groceries in my camry wagon.

Last time we went camping I had to leave the campfire guitar at home because of the 11 cello's worth of toddler/baby stuff you need to fit into the car.

Well all,
it's good see I'm not the only one with storage problems

Sabastiaan....
The guy was from the education department, say no more. He also said there were a lot more where these come from.

I suspect that Cello stands are not as common as guitar stands

I have a confession...I just loooove the sight of a woman playing the cello. I obviously have a thing about child birth because a woman sitting with her legs wide apart playing a cello always reminds me of a woman giving birth.

The cello is a little low to remind me of Ryan's arrival. High pitched screaming comes to mind.

Doesn't look like you're going to be getting any building in before the New Year Taffy. Is there any interesting repairs there, or just set ups?
