Sanding Blocks

Got a new way of doing something? Or maybe an old method that needs some clarification.

Sanding Blocks

I was a bit surprised that a disk sander works well for cleaning up and reshaping cork sanding blocks. I am probably the last person with a workshop to become aware of this but never mind!

Dave- You are not the last one. I suppose I am. Never thought of that. Good idea. I think I'll try transposing that to a soft wood, like the bass wood we have in the US, so that I can adhere adhesive to it better. Thanks, Bob

I usually run up my curved cork blocks on the band saw....the stuff usually cuts pretty cleanly.
