Tertiary braces -- need for carbon fiber?
Tertiary braces -- need for carbon fiber?
I am wondering about the calculations for tertiary lower-bout braces. I am not seeing a discussion of this in the Trevor/Gore books nor this forum. With the much shorter spans, would non-cf braces be appropriate? Also the same question would apply to the braces surrounding the sound hole patch. Thanks for any thoughts. Jack

I have always put CF above and below all the braces. That doesn't mean that you have to...

Thanks Trevor,
I did CF both sides of all the lower bout braces but not the uppers. Initial testing of the closed body looks promising -- I'll see what happens after adding the bridge. Thanks again for the reply. Jack.
