Willie Nelson's Trigger

Post by Nick Payne » Wed Mar 27, 2013 4:44 pm

Just came across this - Willie Nelson's favourite guitar - a nylon string Martin that he bought in 1969 and is still playing. He named it after Roy Rogers horse. Apparently, he says that when the guitar dies, he'll retire. Looks like he's a bit reticent about getting repairs done on it:

Hah, been looking for a picture of that one for a bit, but didn't know the name. Puta Tommy Emanuel to shame, hey?
I wish I was half the man my dog thinks I am....

Cheers,
Nick

This guitar features on the cover of Willie Nelson's 2002 album
"The Great Divide" and appears to be in a similar condition to the
photos posted above by Nick. If these photos are recent photos
then it must be one rugged guitar.
