any Northern Territory members needing a piano tuneup?

Post by matthew » Sun Sep 09, 2012 4:39 pm

Yes its a blatant plug for a fellow musical instrument technician.

In a week or two, my brother Martin is doing his annual trip to Alice Springs and Darwin.

He's a great piano technician and tuner, and people with these skills are in very short supply in the centre and up north. So I'm just letting you know about his itinerary, if you know anyone who needs their piano looked at, they can book in with him at http://tuckertune.wordpress.com/

Alice Springs 13 Sept - 23 Sept.
Darwin 23 Sept - 3Oct.

Wonderful video but a very sad story at the same time. I know that our good mate Craig is a piano tuner by trade and the level of meticulous attention to detail it takes to qualify as such shines brightly in the guitars he builds...The sad bit for me is the unanswerable question of exactly what it is we humans think we are evolving to as we continue to hand over more and more control to those zeroes and ones producing the next disposable new thing at the expense of our proper acknowledgment and reward for the very best of us?

Cheers
