Playmakers After Hours (February 2010)

Post by John Maddison » Thu Apr 21, 2011 5:10 am

A sweet rendition of 'Will the Circle be Unbroken' for your viewing pleasure. Note the caption cock-up, where 'May' should be read as 'Will' ...

Brilliant video John. Put a big grin on my face very early in the morning.

Brilliant John! :D Thanks for that, pity the camera was focussed only our Bob :( Bloody limelight seeker :lol: Not a bad set of pipes there Bob, do they only come 'into tune' after lubrication?
Who took the bass part John? :wink:

He's an ugly bastard that Bob bloke isn't he?

I think that may have been one of Maurie Howletts guitars, possibly the Pacific Blackwood one.

The following comments are Fran's.

Bob, you sound like you grew up singing Gospels in the south. It was wonderful!
(so it wasn't just me who thought you sounded like you are a good ol' boy from home)

You all, including the baritone, should put out a CD of Southern Gospels. And I want a copy.

:D I remember that, but was it before or after Pete run us up to the bottleo for another block?? or was that the night before????

Very cool Bob and as I recall it was indeed Maurie's excellent guitar that you were entertaining us on.

Cheers

Replies::

@Kim - it was AFTER Pete had done the town run for more lubricating fluid

@Martin - how about 'Big B & The Special K'

@Nick - you could hear a bass part :?:

I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch and listen to these videos.

Thanks so much to John for the videography and for posting these priceless videos, and to the fine strumming, picking, and crooning of Bob and Kim and the unnamed backing vocalists. Excellent! :cl
