Falling Birds

Post by Ron Wisdom » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:03 am

I thought maybe some of you guys down there might have seen the story on CNN about the thousands of blackbirds falling from the sky on New Years Eve over the little town of Beebe, Arkansas. I had nothing to do with it, but that IS where I live.

They haven't released the official cause yet, which means the banjo hasn't been ruled out. My playing would certainly bring down a few.

After the way I've heard you people in Arkansas treat those poor little aardvarks Ron, I would not be at all surprised if foul play was involved...perhaps with a Beebe gun too I would expect

I was reading on the ABC Australian News website that something similar involving hundreds of blackbirds has happened today in Europe. One of the readers comments was that God had killed the birds to punish us humans...Now that's simply absurd!!! Anyone in their right mind would know straight away that an alien death ray must have caused these killings and that those poor brave birds must have thrown themselves in front of the beam to prevent the certain annihilation of our planet....bloody pesky aliens...what's gonna happen to us when we run out of birds, that's what I would like to know :?:

Cheers

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

I read about the "dead birds falling from the sky" on the bbc website. I got an immediate laugh : I would have been far more astonished if the dead birds remained aloft... :gui

There were probably several beer and burrito parties going on about that time. Seems like I do recall some kind of green haze over the city.
