Collector not maker
Hi all
I'm new to this forum, I am not a maker but am fortunate enough to have a small collection of Aussie hand made guitars some new, some second hand, I hope this qualifies me as a forum member, the current list is
3 David Churchills, 12 string, 6 sting cutaway and a full body.
Sachar Amos weissenborn
Dan Dubowski 000 (sitka and blackwood)
Chris Finch Baritone (dreadnought shape redwood top indian back and sides)
Daniel Brauchli lap steel ( cedar top blackwood back and sides, carbon fibre bracing)
Don't worry they all get played, my regime is when the strings go off I get the next out of the case restring and thats my guitar for the next few weeks.
From time to time on the evil bay there are guitars from luthiers I do not know and cannot find any info on the net, currently there is a Greenaway guitar, from the photos it looks to be well made, does any one know anything about the maker and how I may contact him
Thanks
Michael

G'day Michael,
Welcome to the forum. Haven't spoken with you for sometime. So are you still planning to live on the block down in Tasmania in the future? Some nice wood down there mate. Hope you enjoy the many beautiful musical instruments built with pride by our forum members.
Cheers
Alan

Hi Michael and welcome to the forum.
From the pics on ebay the guitar looks well made and the price doesnt seem too excessive. That said if I didnt know the luthier Id be wanting to get my hands on the instrument before buying it.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, good to catch up again Alan. I am indeed very fortunate to own some great pieces of art and as importantly make some great friends along the way, it makes a difference to have a relationship with with the person that has made your guitar.
I look forward to reading and contributing to the forum
