Done a few things over the years, but never took photo's of them. Sort of kicking myself now, but I could always make them again right. :D

Anyway, we did bring this with us when we emigrated from Canada, so easy to snap a picture of it.

This is our dining room table. The top is made from 4 sheets of MDF that I laminated together and used a 1/2 router to cut the shape out with a home made jig. Painted in a pattern of marble that I had a sample of. The colors went really well with the home we had. I also had my first go at applying copper leaf to the edge. We love the table, and will probably have it until we fall of the perch. It ways a feaking tonne, and takes 2 very strong men to lift it.

Image

The base is a cement garden fountain that also ways a tonne. Chairs are some beaters that we picked up at an auction, or rather my Mother did. I told her what we wanted, and she got to spend my money. My Dad loves it that way. I cleaned them up and reupholstered them.

The cat is one of our very cheeky Tonkanese, who does as she pleases. My wife indulges her too.

This was my first big project, other than a 4 poster bed, and some wood turning. It's a 17' sea kayak I built about 10 years ago.

Made from cheap 1/8" plywood, coated with fiberglass and epoxy resin, I put in some kevlar and carbon fiber in various places and then figured I'd better paint it 'cause the different materials didn't look all that great together, weighs a bit under 20kg, so it's easy to carry. Just not as easy as carrying a guitar.

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.
