Fingerpicks

Post by jeffhigh » Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:30 pm

Hi Guys,
I was talking to Andrew Winton at a small concert he did in Newcastle recently and noticed that he was using an unusual set of picks.
He put me onto these guys

I have not really managed with dunlops and my job does not allow me to grow long fingernails.
These are something different, worn back to front compared to dunlops and slip between your nail and the fingertip.
I just received mine and took no time to get used to.
Just like having your own fingernals, very secure and you can strum downwards.
And not clanky and noisy like metal (though they do have a brass option)

Those are cool. My nails are so thin, they are worthless. These look like they might just be the thing I'm looking for. Thanks the the link Jeff.

They do look great. Andrew had shown me them in Albany, and told me that his playing reached a whole new level when he found that he could pluck and strum with these things.

I forgot the name of them though, as there was just so much to take in and remember. So thanks Jeff for jogging my old grey matter.
