Okay I think my mid life crisis has arrived about 10 years late. yesterday against my better judgement I headed down to my local bike shop and $5000 later came away kitted out with a mountain bike and all the associated accessories required to make a mess of one's self on the side of a mountain.
The first thing Im getting used to is the bldi technology...carbon fibre frame, disc brakes, air shocks.....etc etc. Took the bike for a spin around the property and first thing I had to get used to was the egg beater pedals and clip in shoes...felt a bit weird at first but now I love them.
Anyway Im off for a big ride this weekend so if the posts stop itll be because Im lying in a hospital bed in a full body cast.
Cheers Martin
I might be away for a while too
Have fun Martin. Remember we don't bounce as well after we start loosing our hair.
I did the mountain bike thing 25 years ago, but after our first long trip from Brisbane to Cairns, I never wanted to see the thing again. The bikes have come a very long way in that time. It must be some machine for that much dosh.
