Emoticonitis

Post by seeaxe » Fri Jan 09, 2009 8:26 pm

Since becoming addicted to this forum (which is great) I have noticed that many of you luthiers seem to suffer from a common affliction which I can only describe as emoticonitis. In advanced forms, rashes of the things appear all over the place.

My question is: if I continue to attempt to build guitars, will I catch this too? I have a day job (to pay for wood and tools of course) - will they start appearing in my engineering reports??? If so, what is the correct emoticon for "your piles are undersized and your building will fall down if you don't fix them"

How should I best protect myself??

Oh God. its happening already.......

I'm sure there are others that might be more appropriate, but you can always use :lmao followed with the message, "Oh, you were serious. Well then, you might want to fix that then."

I wished my piles were undersized, the oversized one I had hurt like hell but I didn't realise it had anything to do with the structural integrity of my building.
