RIP David Bowie
Re: RIP David Bowie
One of the sad parts about getting older, Ive noticed, is seeing the people we look up to going first a lot of the time .
Rip David Bowie, how great you were.

Re: RIP David Bowie
Think I wore the grooves out of my copy of "Heroes", especially the title track, the volume knob bounced off the stops when I cranked that track up. Wasn't so struck on his latest stuff but still an innovator to the last.
"Jesus Loves You."
Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

My favourite track...."This is not America".....Bowie with Pat Methany.
Unfortunately I missed the concert in Christchurch in 1978.

I just watched a clip of the track "Lazarus" from Bowie's last album "Black Star". Haunting and brilliant.....the man turned even his pending death into a work of art.

It's amazing how you don't really think of the impact a person has on society until they are really gone.
