Last Wednesday after days of cloud covering Melbourne the sky cleared in time to see the shuttle and space station [ ISS ] ,6 29 pm

I stopped work on my guitar side press, the second test run ,and set up my camera, on a tripod. The shuttle arrives, I go to take the first shot, camera says NO, memory card full, I had to clear the card then go back to take these pictures.

The first picture is the Space Shuttle which was ahead of the ISS { I read at the time by about 300 to 400 N miles ,I think ? ]

second picture the ISS

got these details off the NASA site today

Altitude , 397.55 KM
Speed 27602.90 KPH
7667.41 MPS

Those electric blankets sure make quick work of a side, But Man how fast is that shuttle going !!
cheers

Thanks for the pictures. Here in Switzerland the last Space Shuttle always passed at daytime.

Hi Markus, it was a pleasure :D . A few years back we used to go up to the bmx track to watch it fly over, the view was from a hill top and was good, I saw one pass over where the shuttle and the ISS were close, two bright dots traveling together.
