I am PHP bb hopeless, please help!

Hi to all,
I want to post images up here on the site of my guitar build for your perusal. I use another PHP site and have had no success using the toolbar provided on the screen where I draft my posts. When one is attempting to post an image I assume I use the "Img" button, but I get no directory/file path from which to select a pic from the contents of my hard drive.

How is it done?
Does the image have to come from a URL, not my hard drive?

What do I do with this? (img)(img)
I am missing something REALLY obvious, I know.

Much scratching of head...
(And he wants to build instruments!!!! your'e thinkin...)

Sorry, but it looks like I need a tutorial on posting images.

G'day Ben, Below the box you type text into when you are creating or replying to a thread is another box called "file name" click "browse" and a new window opens, find the file on your pc. Click on the file you want the click "open", then just below where it says "browse" it says "add the file", click that and another window open to load the pic, when it is done the file will come up just below the main text box and next to it it says "Place in line" when you click "place in line" it will add the file to the text box. The file need to be 800 x 600 pixels or less and I think less than 100kb or something like that.

If you have pics on another site you can use the "url" function to link to it. Click "url" and this comes up ""...........then put you url in here between these bits
