Going to be away for a while
Some of you may know that I'm attending the Playmakers event in Albany at the end of the month. I'm going to hit the road tomorrow (weather permitting) and riding my motorcycle south to Geelong to meet up with Bob.
I'm off work for 5 weeks, and internet access is only going to be via my iPhone where coverage allows, so you'll all be spared having to put up with me for the next month.
Cheers Everyone.

As I understand, from Hesh, you could give Bob bad beer and he will, still, let you use his computer.Dennis Leahy wrote:Have a blast, Allen!

I remember a time when the choice was between Ballentines Ale and Asahi (Vietnamese Beer). After trying Ballentines, Asahi was the winner. I believe it was the formaldehyde that gave it the edge. Ballentines was undrinkable.

Well, the chaps kept me pretty dry up until today. I got to spend the night at Michael Connors, and had a late start to the traveling day. Had to take an inland route because of all the flooding on tie North Coast NSW. Though it poured on me the whole day. Had to take a break from camping under the stars, just to dry out.
A cheap clean skin of Shiraz and some KFC, a hot shower, and I'm right.
Looking forward to spending some quality time with some mates in NSW, and a few of the forum members.

I made it home yesterday afternoon. 10,000 km round trip from Cairns to Geelong. I was just so exhausted after the trip south and nearly a week in Albany that I just wanted be get home. So I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get over to Adelaide. That will have to wait for another time.
A very big thank you to forum members and friends along the way for putting me up. It was wonderful to get to meet some of the fine people that make up the forum.
I've still got about 12 days off, so it's out to the workshop and finishing off some ongoing instruments, and starting on some new ones.

Bloody sick of riding in the rain. I was lucky enough to hole up at Michael Connor's place while I waited for the cyclone to wind down, but the last 2 days home were pretty soggy ones. I unpacked the bike. Through everything in the wash, and hung the tent out to dry. Now I don't want to have to look at the machine until I go back to work on the 23rd.
The backless chaps aren't the problem. It's the great gapping opening on the front that gets the brunt of the weather Martin.
