Hi, this guitar was built a while ago, but I’ll show it anyway. The Parlor guitar I’m building needs the finish applied, but as you may know the weather a bit wet here at the moment in N Qld. The guitar is named the Queenslander.
The back and sides are New Guinee Rosewood, a favorite of mine – bought years ago cheap before luthier suppliers latched onto it- and I sliced it up. The top is cedar a huge piece I have been using on and off for 35 years. I only have a few Parlor-size sets left now. The fingerboard and bridge are Ebony.
The shooting star inlay on the back came from the inspiration a shooting star gave me as it went overhead at the time of this build.
Thanks to Alan, Ozzie bluesman, for the introduction to these guitars some years ago.
I hope you are weathering the storms safely Al.
Thanks for looking.

Re: Slide guitar build
Hi Taffy,
Love the weissenborn guitars. I have one of your weiss builds that you built for me along with some pics that really helped me get the feel of guitar building. Also your cryptic answers to my questions were a highlight. I learnt so much from you. A big thank you.
This guitar is a ripper and I bet it sound good as my weiss is also NR Cedar top made by Taffy.
All good here Taffy as far as flooding goes. We are some of the lucky people with no flooding issues. it would be tragic to see my 17 guitars displayed in the workshop go under water. Many hours and fun in those!
Cheers
Alan
