F5 style mandolin

Post by 56nortondomy » Sat Jan 13, 2024 1:32 pm

This is my first mandolin. It was an order from a guy from the mens shed. He wanted it to look unique and he wanted the top stained to match the look of his Australian red cedar topped OM that I built for him.
Blackwood b/s and neck.
Red spruce top
Ebony fretboard and bridge.
K&K internal mandolin pickup.

Hi, I would say that the mandolin looks very unique, all the different features come together well.

Thanks Taffy.
The owner is really happy with it. He's coming tomorrow for a test play so I can tweek it for him if need be.

Hi Wayne,

Congratulations, the new owner will be pleased when he sees that beautiful instrument.
The inlay work is imaginative and is an ascetically, well thought out theme.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers
