Flamenca blanca

Post by Edi » Mon Apr 03, 2023 10:08 pm

Hi - here's my latest project. It's a flamenca blanca which I built for my former guitar teacher.
He's been playing it for a week now and i'm a little bit proud abot he likes this guitar very much.
  • Scale: 650 mm
  • Top: Engelmann-spruce
  • Back and sides: cypress
  • Fingerboard/bridge: ebony
  • Neck: limba + sipo, 2 carbon rods
  • Headstock veneer: burly poplar
  • Tuning pegs: tamarind
  • Finish: shellack with hard top polish

With my limited flamenco skills it sounds like that:

Edi, I like your creative guitar building styling, timber combination, plus your excellent craftsmanship. The headstock has a interesting shape and the guitar has a great sound. I be interested to how does the removable sound port cover says attached.

Great result!

Thanks Wayne.

The cover is held by four small neodymium magnets, one of each in the tips of the cover with counterparts inside of the frame. To avoid damage of the side the cover has a thin layer of felt.
