Just finished. OM guitar in Adirondack Spruce and Tiger Myrtle. Bloodwood bindings, Blackwood bridge, African Mahogany neck, and Huon Pine rosette. Schertler tuners. I really like the wood combination of red bindings with the Myrtle and the Huon rosette. I love Myrtle. More of us should use it. I don't understand why it is not used more often. I had a long chat with Gerard Gilet about a year ago and he agrees, he also loves Myrtle, and was bemoaning the fact that Tiger Myrtle is now very hard to get. Lucky me, there is plenty more where that came from (my stash). Easy to work, bends easily, no pores, and sounds great. I have made lots of mandolins, mandolas, ocatave mandolins, tenor guitars, and guitars with Myrtle back and sides. Adi Spruce and Myrtle is a match made in audio heaven. Warm, sweet sound that has a characteristic smoothness. This one makes my Rosewood guitar sound thin. Very pleasing.

The guitar looks amazing and as you mentioned has a great sound. Excellent style and craftsmanship!

Thanks. The inlay was done with my new workshop toy, a Stepcraft M700 CNC. It is Huon Pine and Blackwood. It took a while and a few iterations to get it right, but I do like the end result. That is just scratching the surface of what I can do now. All theoretical of course, it all takes time and experience learning how to use the software and the machine.
