Blackwood & Australian Red Cedar OM

Post by lamanoditrento » Tue Aug 23, 2022 7:47 am

This is another of my recently completed builds. Less bells and whistles than others lately but was an enjoyable straight forward build.

It is a falcate braced, 14 fret OM. Stunning blackwood back and sides from Mr Curly, bell-like ARC soundboard and silver quandong neck from Mr Linton. Obviously trim and rosette in ebony. Bridge is ebonised tassy oak.

Another great guitar build. Like the Blackwood back and the Red Cedar top.

It is always good to see what can be achieved by craftsmanship and woodworking experience.

What a ripper guitar. Thank you for sharing.

Cheers

Very nice Trent. What's it sound like? I'm almost finished one with the same timbers and the b/w came from Pete too and the sap wood is almost identical.

Thanks.

Wayne it actually has a wolf note which needs to be dealt with. Unfortunately, I haven't the brain space for that at the moment so, and as it is a spec guitar, I put it in a case to think about later.
