B & G style guitar

Post by 56nortondomy » Tue May 03, 2022 5:02 pm

Finished this guitar recently. I'm pretty happy with this one everything went smoothly for a change apart from a hiccup with the pickups which got sorted out fairly quickly. Really like the way it sounds.
American ash body
Quilted Maple top
Nato neck
Rosewood f/b
Golden age tuners
Gotoh bridge
P90 pickups ( i made these ones )

That's a sexy looking guitar!

Have to agree with Joel.
I bet it barks when needed.
Sweet tone also available with P90s
Beautiful finish, the whole guitar is a credit to your craftsmanship.
Cheers

Looks great, and well done with the pickups.
I think this style of guitar hollow, single coils is the direction I've been heading.
Also like a good zero fret. Cheers Mark

Great result. Like the style and timber finish on the top.

Thanks Mark and Wayne.
I'm thinking of maybe doing one with a carved top when I finish the two guitars I'm working on.

Did you build it to a plan?

Not really Joel. I had a template about the right size given to me by Alan another forum member. From there it was a case educated guesses and and picking Alan's brain.
