Ziricote and Spruce Exotic Classical

Post by Steve.Toscano » Thu Mar 24, 2022 5:56 pm

Thought I'd share this recent completion.

Back and Sides: Ziricote
Top: Spruce (braced in my fan style with CF)
Neck: Honduras Mahogany
Fretboard: Ziricote with maple/ebony binding
Arm rest: Ziricote
Bridge: Brazilian Rosewood
Bindings: Ebony

Finish: Durabond Nitro

Started in lockdown late last year.
Strung up for the first time the 8th March, sold and off to her forever home on the 22nd March.

Listen to her here (recorded on phone):

I always find Ziricote with a high gloss finish pretty difficult to photograph. Photos definitely don't do her justice.

Absolutely gorgeous Steve.

One can't judge too much through a recording, but what does come across is the evenness of tone both across the strings and along the fretboard.

Hope you charged enough for it!

Cheers Dave

Beautiful Steve. I like you've finished the arm bevel incorporated. That seamless look, looks fantastic!
